I have read various books told in first person: Patricia Cornwall, many Agatha Christies, most Sherlock Holmes and I think Kathy Reichs does it too. Ah, by embarrassing obsession with whodunnits is outed.
My story isn't just seen through someone's eyes though (like say Patricia Cornwall's books), it's actually an IC account she's written out - like 1922. And it's about as cheerful. Oh dear.
I mentally tried to imagine it in third person, but it seemed too dry and detatched. Also there isn't really much that happens out of sight of the protagonist, so it will work as a complete story. Assuming I ever finish it!
