Are you allowed to post a photo of the paintings he did? I'd love to see what they look like. I'm glad you're making progress with him!

What a cool idea! I don't see why not. I'll be there next week and take one.

Yay! I'm so glad you did a follow up story on 'Ikaika'. I understand why you had to but it must have been hard to resist getting purple up to your elbows right along with him.
It sounds like he let himself have more fun this time. I love how he makes these things and gives them to you instead of keeping them for himself.

You do a great job of taking us on the journey with you. The shrugging makes me giggle. I can picture it.

Good luck this week on Brigit's Flame and thank you so much for sharing the story.

I love the amazing things you do, and the way you write about them, and the optimism with which you present a situation that might otherwise be bleak. I love your enthusiasm both in the story and in the telling. I pretty much love this a lot, and I LOVE that last line. I hope you keep writing about him!

I get so caught up in your description of the process I forget I'm supposed to be looking at your *writing*. That's a good thing-- that I'm not aware of the writing-ness; you've fully engaged us in the story and this child's unfolding.
Wonderful work.
