FUCK YOU, FOX!

I'm still fuming about "Arrested Development." I hurt all over. I'm pissed and this time, I'm not going to take it when FOX cancels a show I love.

It's time for a rant.

The Top 5 Reasons I Hate FOX

I agree with you wholeheartedly on all counts. Cancelling Firefly and cancelling Arrested Development were, I believe, two of the worst decisions in tv programming history. And both were made by the SAME PEOPLE. It's infuriating. These people are causing me to feel rage again. And here I thought I'd overcome my anger issues.

I've written a couple letters and am going to send them tomorrow. Apparently there's some big plan and a bunch of people are sending stuff on the same day. They're going for the media right now, I guess, hoping to get some publicity. I might send a couple to those people but I'm REALLY loving this idea of mass-mailing my middle finger. I thought of sending them a jar of bees, but I don't know how I'd go about that, and also...I doubt they'd get the joke. Fuckers. I hope they all trip and fall face-first into a big, hot pile of cornballers.

Oh yeah P.S. came here via Brix...so hi! I'm Paige, nice to semi-meet you!

I didn't realize that the 16th was tomorrow! Looks like I'll have to run out and get some envelopes and stuff tonight... I just want to get as many people as possible involved in this. If every AD fan tries to recruit jsut a few new fans, there might be some hope after all. Then again, I know better than to try to deal with FOX.

Still, if we can get Serenity made, maybe there is a chance that something could happen with AD. I know Showtime has expressed some tiny interest. Agh, but now I'm ahead of myself... it'd be a dream come true if a cable channel picked up AD! *sighs* Fucking FOX. Just like Brix said in her post, how the X-Files got past its first season, I'll never understand!

haha nice to "meet" you too... we have about 20384032 interests in common! I approve! :D

That'd be so great if Showtime picked it up. I don't get Showtime and thus would have to wait for dvds, so that kind of sucks for me, but that's a zillion times better than it being DONE! I'm stressing so hard though, having to wait this out. It's torturous.

We do, indeed, have tons of interests in common! We are the coolest! I believe that merits friending...I'll check my friending manual later, but for now I'm just going to be a rebel and friend you off the cuff. It's weird how livejournal has made 'friend' into a verb. I'm not comfortable with it, and yet I use it. I wonder what that says about me.

I'm so frustrated with network TV, I'd almost rather have everything on cable, even though I don't have HBO or Showtime. I just don't understand how FOX can kill all of these shows; it doesn't make any sense to me. Just imagine how much better TV would be if the fans ran it!

*friends you back* The use of 'friend' as a verb has only gotten worse with facebook and myspace. Seriously, how strange is this generation turning out to be??

Sing it, sister. (And I'm here thanks to shadesofbrixton, by the way.)

And I've only just discovered Wonder Falls (because shows that get the axe so tragically early rarely make it to France, or if they do it's only in dubbed versions and I am not watching any of that voluntarily), and I didn't know it was a Fox show. *adds that to the list of reasons why she hates Fox* *wants to cuddle Tim Minear for having this happen to him so often*

*needs to give AD a try*

Aghh, seriously! Tim Minear wrote my favorite FF episode ("The Message")... the guy is incredible! I'll never get over that show being cancelled. When I think about all of the amazing episodes and seasons we could have had by now... agh, it drives me crazy.

Definitely give AD a shot! It's the most intelligent comedy you'll find on TV. There are so many layered and sly jokes that, I swear, you can watch an episode 10 times and still notice something new every time! :D

I aodre Tim so very much... and I love The Message as well! Though I'm pretty sure it's equally due to Jonathan Woodward, who is just... He's Jonathan Woodward, really. And yes, you don't wanna think about what Firefly could have been, because it is enough to drive anybody crazy.

I've now got 3x01 waiting for me to watch it. Anything I should know to make the most of that episode?

(Mind if I friend you?)

Episode 3x01, eh? That's this season's premiere, which was pretty damn funny! I think every episode of AD can stand on its own pretty well; the opening credits label every character for you, and Ron Howard's narration fills you in on anything you might have missed plot-wise. But if you're able to, you should try to download them right from the beginning. The greatest charm of AD is that it builds on inside jokes and storylines from the very first episode, so if you've seen all of the episodes, the jokes are soooo much more funnier by the time you reach the third season!

Yay, I always love making new friends... friend away! :D

*cries with laughter*

Your rage and bitterness is a thing of beauty to behold and OMG SO TRUE AND RIGHT.

FOX needs to be canceled as a network, before it can do more harm unto us.

PREACH IT. (here from voleuse, BTW) I am behind the times on AD (*ducks*) but I was furious, sad, and yet UTTERLY NOT SURPRISED to hear of its untimely demise yesterday. And don't even get me started on Firefly and Wonderfalls. I think we need to reserve, like, a specific time every day for everyone to go outside and scream, "FUCK YOU, FOX!" Then maybe they'd hear us.
