*smiles* All perfectly, perfectly normal for the last days and hours before the big event. I remember being just as anxious, fretful, unfocussed and fidgetty before all three of my babies made their arrival. I'm sure you and your baby girl are going to be just fine. No point my telling you to relax, as I know just how difficult that is right now. Your bag is packed, you're all ready. Pamper yourself in any way you can and feel free to be a bit self-indulgent. You deserve it! :D
Thanks sweetie. I keep telling myself to relax and that I'm being silly since I know what's coming and have prepared. I just need to find a good distraction, keep my mind off things.
I know what you're feeling! That final wait is almost maddening. I know it's hard, but my recommendation is to do anything you love doing that is leisurely. Do you like to browse at bookstores? Wander through Barnes and Noble with a drink. Or sleep. Trust me, in a little while you'll wonder why you didn't spend the last two months sleeping.
I'm so excited for you! Absolutely can't wait to see pictures of the princess when she gets here.
I'm certainly napping more during the day. I doze off with the telly on every afternoon. The present heat is unfortunately making that one a toughie. Hubby got a child sized wading pool for me to go dip my tootsies in so maybe I'll go lounge around in the shade for a while.
I'll keep everyone updated as much as I can. At this point, its just the waiting game.
I'm so excited for you! Obviously, I don't have any motherly words of wisdom, but if there is anything I can do to help distract you, just let me know.
Thanks darlin'. I'm busying myself with catching up on LJ presently so that is always a good distraction. I've been so bad in posting and commenting lately that I can really glance back and see what I missed. And I've fallen behind on the Summer of Giles stuff so there's a few distractions I can try.
Maybe you should tweet updates from Twitter? Will they let you take a laptop or phone into the delivery room?? LOL - we could all experience it right alongside you!
I was considering taking the laptop with me. Apparently folks have done it but I think Hubby would have to be the twitterer...er and he's clueless with such things. He wouldn't have any idea how to post to LJ or Twitter. I honestly have no idea what sort of condition I'll be in, though it would be rather neat to pass the time posting.
Oh, yes, those last few days are pure torture. But try to keep cool, hydrated and rested. I wish you all the luck in the world. Hope to hear about you and baby girl soon!
