Thanks so much for your comments :) - again! I do think it works better without the distractions, but that wedding/war paragraph needs some work still. I shall have to attack it when I'm in a better frame of mind that I was last night. It was time to step away from the computer...will edit later, hopefully without deleting anything this time.

Thanks again for your great comments. I think "during" is better - "across" didn't quite work, and I do think "wasteland vision" on its own is more stark. (I was beta-ing a great Azkaban fic once, but it seems it's been on hiatus for a very long time) Yay! Now maybe I am brave enough to post to remusxsirius and I'll check out those other communities too...
