Severus peered from the aisle he was in into the one beside him with a raised eyebrow; looking to the man who'd shouted his desperate plea. He ran his tongue over his bottom lip before he spoke. For him, talking was a performance in itself and he was never one to speak needlessly when there was nothing important to say.

He looked at the man and evaluated him immediately, deciding how exactly he would go about answering the man's question.

Snape was, in fact, standing behind the other man and thus he cleared his throat to get the man's attention.

"No history exists because the city isn't real, its geography is impossible, it's location completely unknown, and it's improbable that people from different origins, different times, and different--I don't fancy using this word but, perhaps, 'worlds' would all stumble upon a...an actual place, hm?"

Howl jumped a bit. He had not expected anyone to be in the building let alone behind him, but that was a silly assumption he realy needed to pay attention more, if this man had been the Witch of the Waste he would be done with.

"Why not worlds?" Howl got up and turned around with a flare that only someone who spent time practicing how to impress people could pull off. "Oh wait, I bet your one of the other people who don't believe in multiple realities, your probably all about science and other boring things," he gave a deep sigh shaking his head. "Why am I surounded by such depressing circumstances?"

"It isn't that I disbelieve in the existence of alternative realities." His eyes flickered to the other man's and he smirked. "It's more the fact that there is quite an unsettling theory going around and I've met more then a few persons who seem to support it's plausibility. Are you aware that there are persons who under any other circumstance I would consider fictitious wandering the streets of this 'real' city?"

"Really?" Howl spoke with actual interest. "I did not know that, though I did meet a girl who was a historical figure," he thought about this for a moment. He wondered if all worlds had books in another world somewhere. "Well I know there are other worlds out there, I was living in one before I walked out my door and found myself here," he paused a moment this person seamed a bit more... together on what was happening at least.

"Do you have a name? No doubt you will be from frighteningly similar but completely different place than what I know.." he muttered the last bit.
