So did the operation leave an interesting scar??? Maybe you can make up some tale for future boys about you being involved in a shark attack, or perhaps you were stabbed by pirates??

I'm glad to hear that you are alright Peanut.

I dunno! They haven't removed the bandage yet.. maybe I'll see it in a few days. Your idea is quite interesting and yes, I will try it out to see if I can pull any boys with my scar if not my face alone..

Happy 2008!

Wow, did you get to keep the appendix?
I don't think I'll catch you while you're here, but when're you leaving?

No, they had to send it for histopathology - looking at the appendix's cells under a microscope and analyzing WHY the appendix was threatening to blow up.

I'm leaving on the 9th - will you be in Dubai any time soon?

Happy 2008!!

Blood is nothing to be afraid of.. it's just colored water, really.

You should come to our Clinical Skills lab, we have plastic arms with Ribena flowing through them to help us practice taking blood from *real* patients :)

Hurrah. :|

Well, it's not so much blood itself I'm afraid of (I can look at a joint of beef or some other meat with no problems), it's rather seeing it come out of something... so needles, blood tests, surgery, etc. Minor cuts and things I'm fine with too, but major bleeding, stab wounds and so on are things I can't cope with!

And Ribena's not a problem either. :)
