The three days of Eid have passed - pretty slowly, I must say - and I just have three more days of school-free boredom/bliss before I return to the unfabulously grinding routine of regular A-level life ( Read more... )

No pics, babe. Well, no good ones, at least ;)

See now, I didn't bother checking with the weighing scales, so I dunno how much I've put on [or maybe lost?].

Aw, no good Eid pics sweetie.. I didn't bother using my camera a lot. Eid is a time for laziness, and dammit, we should obey that rule!

Eid was on Monday here too. What did you do for Eid? Anything special?

Yup...he goes for the movies with someone else and then rubs it in my face.

And by 'it', Nick means the description of the movie. Nothing else, I swear.

The thing is, my rommaate Arjun whom I was competing with, is straight. So here's something we can happily beat those arrogant heteros at!

What are you doing your PhD in?

Oh, that's a pretty interesting topic... we have so many examples of fundementalisms all around the world. Though I don't know anything about the three people you mentioned, I'm sorta intrigued by the phrase 'ethics of the self'. Is that supposed to mean a code of law to govern oneself?

"and testing the limits of the enzyme lipase in ones intestines by gobbling down as much oily food as possible."

hahaha! always the scientist. :)
this past weekend was the first weekend i spent at my sister's house and didnt gain 5 pounds!! it was Ramadan and i couldnt eat everything in her refrigerator. she lives in the suburbs and everywhere we go, we drive. soooo... between her having tons of food on hand and me not getting up off my bum i tend to get chubby when i visit.

Open Season looked cute but yea, Shrek was awesome. i love donkey.

oh and.. new jersey just approved sam-sex unions!!! woohoo!!! i'm shocked new york hasnt approved it. i wouldve thought it would've been the first. i'm so ashamed of my state.

when do you find out about med schools? how exciting!! and nerve-wracking!!!

You didn't gain even 5 pounds? You have so not celebrated Eid in the proper fashion!

I heard about NJ's same-sex ruling. Fun stuff! Though, it doesn't quite affect me, so I just tend to read such news items and go, "Meh, let them start by legalizing gay sex here first!"

I've already applied to the med schools in the UK. Now I need to apply to undergrad programs in Canada. Maybe I'll hear from the UK in a few weeks time.
