See, you've been thinking again. Both the bible and the koran agree that thinking is bad. You leave the thinking to the clerics, you silly boy. Otherwise, society will be all willy nilly with that degree of free thinking.
Just kidding! This is actually a very interesting post. I think about this stuff all the time. That is why I am constantly paralyzed with the fear that I won't do anything worth remembering and why I am so set on being successful. Our world is huge, and it is far too interesting to live like we'll have another chance. And to think about everything in terms of billions upon billions of times larger than we, well, it just makes the whole thought process a little more interesting.
So how many earths put side to side would it take for a line of earths to stretch across one light year? You're good at this stuff, yalla, tell me!
Hah, yeah, it doesn't have anything to do with my boyfriend. But the next post shall deliver some news about him ;)
I always boggle myself whenever I think about the Universe. It's too vast to fit into my head. For this one situation, I can't think outside the box.. the box is just too big to get out of.
The Earth is 12800 km in diameter. A light year is 9467280000000 km long. So 9467280000000/12800 = 739631250 Earths to a light year.
