Approaching dangerous territory

I have two math exams in another 18 hours and I'm sitting here typing away to glory. Go me!

In my defence, I did a lot of revision on Wednesday and Thursday with callmextc. He was over at my place on Wednesday and I went over to his yesterday. After we were done, we went for a walk to Dubai Creek. There was a nice, cool breeze outside and the yachts/boats were just leaving the dock. We sat on the steps near the creek for a bit and then headed back to his place because my folks were at a restaurant near Derek's.

In other news, I'm going to be on an AM radio show that's aired in the USA. My friend, Aleks referred me and my solo Hebrew study to this radio show host, Barry Farber. And Mr Farber wants the two of us on his show! Woot! So, they're gonna call Aleks and me on the show on Saturday 4 PM Eastern Time.. which would be Sunday 1 AM Dubai time. I don't mind staying up that late - I'm gonna be on radio! :-D Plus, since I don't have any exams on Sunday, I can actually stay up that late and not worry about sleep deprivation.
When I told my dear Papa, he just told me to be careful about what I say on air, because the authorities here monitor almost everything and this could even be a way to frame me (?). I'm quite certain that nobody's trying to frame me because this isn't like a setup where the police uses the internet to catch gay people or pedophiles etc. This is three people talking about their linguistic interests and several other people listening to the conversation.
Both my parents are very worried about where I'm headed.. Papa says that since this country does not allow freedom of speech, I should suppress my thoughts and ideas which are in conflict with the country's laws and major stances. My argument is that whoever made any changes or helped bring about reform, in any country, was never afraid of the authorities. Take any example from the biographies of Jesus or Muhammad or Martin Luther King Jr or Rajiv Gandhi.. there's lots of them. I know my words sound incredibly gigantic for a guy my age, but I refuse to sit quietly just because somebody else thinks what I'm saying is wrong. Silence is not always golden.

"Heresy is only another word for freedom of thought."
-- Graham Greene, author.

PS - I hope nir1 and tatianastav, who live in Tel Aviv are safe and sound.. there was a suicide bombing there yesterday :( Only one person died.. the suicide bomber himself. What a waste of a perfectly fine life! Uff.
