B'chinot, b'chinot!

I had my very first examination of the year today.

As I took my seat at desk #22 in the very hall that we'd been partying in just a month ago, I felt uneasy and cold. I prayed fervently for the nerve endings in my urinary bladder to be killed or at least, temporaritly deactivated. All through the Core 1 exam, I was nervous, fidgety and restless because I was very frustrated, for two main reasons:
1. We weren't allowed allowed to use calculators in this exam, so without this immensely helpful tool, I was left at the mercy of my confused brain cells.
2. I really had to pee, because of the nervousness and cold.

As we neared the end of the time allotted for Core 1, I asked permission from one of the invigilators and ran to the bathroom. Needless to say, when I returned, I solved the rest of the problems in ease and with my eyes fixed on the paper and not on my crotch.

Core 2 seemed like a real piece of cake. And I did solve it pretty quickly, mainly because I had a calculator for this one and I didn't have a bladder waiting to explode. I had about 10 minutes left after I was done with the Core 2 exam. I didn't feel like going through it a second time because I'm just such a dick. An even bigger zayin than you can imagine.
When we had given up our answer sheets were finally freed from the hall, we discussed our answers among ourselves. And guess what? Because of my utterly over-confident self, I overlooked some signs before numbers [as in, + or -] and I non-chalantly ignored important exponentials. Fruck! So even though my methods of solving the problems were all correct, I score less overall because my answers will be wrong.

The only consolation is that these are just the first term exams and the exams that reall matter are the A-level exams that come from London. Oh well. At least I'll learn to be more careful in other exams.

On a totally unrelated note, I've now got six userpics on Livejournal, instead of the usual three. And the link to my journal is now http://wicked-danu.livejournal.com instead of the the usual http://www.livejournal.com/users/wicked_danu. Symptoms of having a paid account. But when I checked my userinfo, it still says 'Free Account' with the enticing link to upgrade beside it. Hmm.. this is muzar.
On another, completely unrelated note, I've taken to calling Clay 'Honeyballs'.

math, school, clay, exam
