De trains! De trains!

I live near the railroad tracks. I would say that, on average, I drive over them four times per day - mostly to go to and come back from work. I've been living in my house for a little over 2 and a half years now, and before Tuesday I was stopped by a train maybe twice. Maybe. Since Tuesday, I've encountered these damn trains FIVE TIMES! Oh man that sucks...and you BETTER not be passing along any bad train karma because I too live VERY close to RR tracks...they aren't even a mile away from my house.

I don't know how to pass it on OR how to catch it, so you might be safe. :-P I'm hoping that when I waited through the train on Thursday, I "paid my debt," so to speak. We'll see!

this happens to me too. on my way to work i have to cross two railroad tracks and whenever i get "stopped" by them they're always going 5mph. and actually they usually always stop. start going in reverse. stop. start going forward. and repeat this til you're cursing it out loud.

Luckily, I haven't had one stop on me yet! You must live close to the loading station or something... They might be uncoupling certain cars and taking them off on other tracks. Do you have any other way you can go that would avoid the tracks?

That's nothing! The other night on my way to work I got stopped by a train that didn't move AT ALL for 45 minutes. I just turned around and went home since I didn't want to waste gas, time, or my already thinning patience.
