Yes, Sirius online streaming will start costing. It used to be free for all accounts. Then it was free unless you wanted 'high quality' 128k streaming. It then became only free for the master account. I'm sure 100% charging will coincide with the release of this alleged Sirius XM iPhone client.

My 4 minute commute has cut down on my listening as well.

BPM has went to hell since the merger, traffic being combined with Baltimore sucks because it takes like 10 minutes to cycle through now, and I don't like a few of the DJs. I have been listening at work to make up for the lack of in-car use, but I am not going to add more per month for online listening (with the surge of popularity of Pandora, DI.FM and other web radio, why in the hell they are choosing to charge is beyond me).

I know of 2 different subscribers that have jumped ship (1 xm and 1 sirius) in the past 24 hours. I'm not going to, but if they push much harder, I might as well.

It will get worse with time. Mel does not believe in the dance channels. He is all about the talk/sports channels.

Yep.
I'm going to ride it out, contract-less. It just sucks though, especially considering that I just got XM in the smart, which involved damn near gutting the thing to get the wiring like I wanted it.
