Starting March 11, the cost of each additional Sirius satellite radio on a family plan increases from $6.99 to $8.99. Over the span of a year, that is $24 more. While that equates to one additional ribeye a year, it has caused me to reconsider having the additional radio. My commute is about a mile and in that mile I have lately needed to jump channels to hear something I am not bored with. In a move that upset me greatly last year, Sirius eliminated Michelle Visage. This year they eliminated Diana Cage from OutQ. Those two "firings", the increased radio cost, repeated harassment to reconnect a disconnected radio, and their lackluster stock performance will likely cause me to drop my radio tonight and keep only the Stiletto.
