Oh, and I completely and totally agree with what some of the actors said about Lost in the series retrospective. This show will stand on its own for years to come. You hear about there being college courses devoted to a single television show (Buffy, Sopranos, etc), and I think this show is perfect for a collegiate course of study. I actually can't imagine a show ever surpassing the sheer brilliance of this show. The subtle reveals that came at the perfect time, the character study and development, the philosophy. Everything just came together perfectly

Ok, so I meant to answer this like a week ago, but then I got crazy busy with going back to work and such. Aye. BUT...
YAY!! We finally agree on something! I knew it had to happen eventually, XD
But yeah, I agree, the most important questions we needed answers for were about the characters, and we found out a lot else besides. The only real question I'd have liked answered was who built the statue and the temple, and when and why, exactly. And, who trapped the Man in Black in that house with the ring of ash, and lots of questions associated with that. (and that's interesting, the theory that she never gave him a name...everyone else I've talked to has assumed his name was just withheld from us to drive us crazy, but that'd be really interesting if he was never even given one! Hmm...) I mean, I'd like to know those things, but it absolutely wasn't necessary. I think most of us have been watching this show for so long mostly because of the deep, interesting characters. They mystery has been great, sure, but I think for

'After the season 5 Supernatural finale I knew I wouldn't be disappointed in LOST because after watching that fiasco I know nothing could ever betray me that badly'
That's so funny, for me it was just the other way round. I love Supernatural's 'Swan Song' to pieces and I worship Eric for this episode but Lost was just an entire red flag. It didn't work at all for me. During the second hour I even started to get bored. It was terrible. I was so excited for this episode and just wanted to enjoy the experience but after watching I felt empty and kept asking myself if THIS was it? I couldn't believe that this was the Grand Finale of Lost. *sigh* But I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
Aw, I'm sorry. :( I know how frustrating that is to be disappointed like that.
Glad you liked Supernatural, though. To me, Dean was just far too OOC there at the end and it ruined everything for me, but I know there were several people out there that enjoyed it and that's great.
