Oh my God, that's really bad! I really hope these fires stop soon, I can't imagine what that's like.

There's not much you can do but rebuild with ever more fire resistant materials. California gets hard summer over here. The amount of loss and "its just gone" is mind boggling.

Don't worry there will be parties for you. They have a way of just happening, often on the mundane of nights... Some of the best parties are room parties. Congrats on having your first steps of adult freedom.
