I've bought some yarn in colours I prefer as well to make a Not-Who scarf: cream, blue, deep pink, orange, lime green, purple, lemon. I'm also going to make it thinner--around 5"/13cms wide, and in moss (US seed) stitch so colour changes look the same both sides.
Oh, and Fibonacci numbers of rows. Yeah, it's definitely a Not-Who scarf. :-)

It is why we knit. I figured it would be better to pick colours that I would actually wear. I've succeeded and it's a fun project!
