Just wanted to show off....

Though I'm not quite done yet. I've accomplished one wristwarmer, and it was most certainly the most complicated pattern thing I've tried yet! I learned a lot about cabling and following a pattern in this one, by golly. ( Tadaaah! )

Thank you! You can't really see it, but there are a couple of stitches that are a bit wider where I went from needle to needle, but I'm hoping that they'll even out. You can't really tell though.

In other words... You can do it!

Thank you. :D

You could always just knit it as a rectangle and sew it up the thumb side ^_^

And yes, both the wrist warmer and the Jayne hat look quite fine! I have a feeling I'm the only geek knitter I know that hasn't made at least one...

I think I'm a slow knitter, and the Jayne hat only took me a couple of days. It was a nice break from the fiddly wrist warmer. *encourages encourages*

That's a very fannish photo! Is the wristwarmer based on Rose's red fingerless gloves? I think they were cabled like that. :-)

Yup! I used this pattern to make it. :)

Thank you! That's a lovely pattern. I already knitted her Boom Town scarf, and fancied doing the red fingerless gloves from that ep (they've got thumbs and fingers and are very plain) but the Doomsday ones are really lovely. Perhaps I'll do both, each in a colour that matches one of those on my scarf. :-)

Far be it for me to *encourage* this madness, but there just can't be enough Who-related fingerless gloves out there. n__n

Have you put the pattern up for the Boom Town scarf that you knitted?

You're doing an amazing job! I love that pattern...I've made like three pairs from it...the cable gets easier as you move along I think...

Red fingerless gloves that go with that scarf...I made a pair, can give you guys a pattern if you want. :)

I think you're right. Now I just have to figure out where I've LOST A STITCH, and I can get around to finishing the second glove. The second one is just flying along, or it was, before I lost a stitch. I didn't *drop* it, I claim, it RAN OFF. With my pencil. I hope they're very happy together. *sideways glare at knitting bag*

I'm always up for more patterns! :D
