Freaking out, continued

I am sorry, folks. It will likely be mostly about the wedding for the next three weeks or so.

I got an official invitation by snail mail today. The envelope was A6 small, with the address written in childish penmanship in curly and rounded letters. After my name, her black ballpen gave up, so the rest is in blue.

I have to say that in order not to ( Read more... )

freaking out, my family

Oh Lord! I feel like I can empathise so well with how you feel about this. I have a cousin, (we were as close as sisters....) who went ahead and married against all the warnings of the family. When it all went wrong, we still felt horrible.

But still, this could turn out really well, you know. Try not to worry. Maybe everything happens for the best.....

Well, I have come to an end of all options. So, I will now support her and firmly hope for the best. And whatever happens, we will help her. So it will be ok anyway, really. Thank you muchly for the sympathy, dear Hiru :-))

That's what family is for; to support and help. I'm sure it's going to be all right. Good luck!

(And btw, my name means 'sun' in my language. I was sharply reminded of this fact when I saw it here, for some reason. LOL!)

What a beautiful name, Sunny :) Well, Kate means "beautiful, pure, chaste". I aimed, but missed :)

When I first read about this, I thought, OK, a lot of people used to get married that young. And they apparently did fine, I guess. I suppose all you can do is hope for the best, but I tell ya, if I received an invitation with childish round scrawl in two different colors of ink, I would have bawled my eyes out.

That counting thing - I never would have relied on that, but hey. It could work, right?
