I'm sort of conflicted on the subject of the "War Doctor", because while I don't hold with the idea of inserting extra Doctors and on one level would have preferred his role to be filled by either Eight or Nine (although it would seem Eccleston stuck to his guns on that one - and good for him, really), on the other hand he was a very well-written character and beautifully portrayed by John Hurt. So on that level, I'm sort of glad we got him. Renumbering of course, which I hope will be avoided, is a completely different can o' worms.

In any case, I will put you down on the list. In your own time, now... ;)

First of all, big and heartfelt thanks to all of you who've been members of the comm, making posts, commenting, producing lovely fanworks, or just lurking around the place; you've all been great

I think, though, the person who most needs thanks here is you for coming up with this, starting it up and following through on what, low-level as it is, gets to be a huge lot of work through the year. There's no guarantee anyone else would have done it and it's been great.

Well, thank you very much indeed. And thanks to you too, for taking part here when you were able and also for your support and suggestions in the early days of this...thing. I wouldn't have thought of mirroring the comm on Dreamwidth (or even linking to the Dreamwidth version from here and vice versa) or all kinds of other sensible considerations if you hadn't been there offering your ideas. I think you even had a hand in the format and ordering of the monthly fanwork-a-thons - so here, have a medal back:

You're right, though - it doesn't look like being as much work as it ended up being until you actually have a go. If and when it continues into next year, I think the pace is going to be a bit more leisurely to allow me more time to do other things. :)

Just to be fair, I think I suggested switching the order first, and was then backed up by lost_spook (but I think she was more persuasive). ;) But other than that I didn't do much, so most of the credit goes to lost_spook. :)

Anyway, as I said - I think thanks to JJ for running the comm and making celebratory things happen on LJ is definitely deserved - and I'm pretty sure we're unanimous on that.
