"ethics class"?! that sounds ridiculous. and it's annoying when teachers make you guess what they're thinking. i don't know if you've had mr. jarvie as a teacher at OC.. he is the worst. he always makes us complete his sentences on things that we have no idea what he's talking about [so it's not like the answer is obvious and we're just stupid.] and when he gets mad he swears to himself, but we can all hear him, he called me a "little fucker" under his breath once, anyways getting off topic, i can relate to your frusteration with the class and teacher. the end.
No matter what you decide to do, there's going to be a bit of work for you to accomplish, so perhaps the best thing for you to do is dive in and hope for the best since you're unsure of things. One thing you might consider instead of teaching is social work. There are kids out there who could use some help, ya know? I do like the thought of you as a teacher though, so you should stick with that.
I changed my major from business to english, and I enjoy it very much. Just calm yourself down, and pick one that you feel most comfortable with. And, I agree with Kelley, you would make a good teacher. Just think about the daycare, and how you feel there. That's a good thing to keep in mind.
