Cats and Kittens

While I'm fighting with learning the newest version of Word (which is cool and all, but where the hell are my buttons!?!), I have decided to turn my world a bit upside down. See, it went like this...In August I lost Angus. He was a black and white long haired cat and he died from complications to an injury. We (the vet and my family) think that he ( Read more... )

Thanks. I've been having a great time with them.

Thank you. He was getting older, but I really wish I'd seen the problem sooner so he could have gotten to the vet faster. As it was I had to crawl under a porch to get him. Sigh. I've got a picture of him eating corn somewhere that I'll have to make into an icon.

My mother has a Maine Coon. They get huge! They're very social though.

This is the first I've ever had. I've wanted one since I met a Maine Coon at a fair when I was eight or so. That cat was not only huge, but he was choosing who to let pet him. He was in a large-ish cage and would reach out and snag someone he wanted to pet him and pull back for people he didn't want. What I thought was cool was he was choosing like I would if I had to interact with those people. I can still remember the intelligence in his gaze ( ... )

That's great. I've never had one before, but I've always wanted one, so I'm very happy.

Thanks. Although, Thumper is going to end up getting called Alex as well because he reminds me of Alex Krycek from x-files. They called him Thumper because his feet are so long they look like rabbit's feet. He's going to be huge (really, really huge). So, Pumpkin is now Pumpkin Ann and he's Alex Thumper. Sounds a little silly, but that makes it more fun to fill out forms where I don't want to use real names of family members. :D

Watch out for Tortitude ^^ All the tortis and calicos I've ever had or known tend towards strong personalities.

Oh, this one does too. She's persistent even when she's repeatedly told no. That's okay though she'll need it to deal with Mickey (littler Yorkie) who has the strongest attitude of any animal I've ever owned.
