Yes, I agree that Alex Hunter was great for Neal, mostly for all the things they had in common, but as people say "opposites attract" and i can make a more interesting couple. I could not help it, I was smiling everytime that Sara had a scene with Neal, so my personal favorite girl for Neal was Sara, but I did enjoy others. At some point, I thought Neal was going to leave with Rebecca Lowe/Rachel Turner, and I would have been happy for them.

Kate wasn't using Adler, Keller, or Neal. I don't think Keller had anything to do with the music box. (Maybe you're thinking of Fowler ( ... )
