Wow. I'm trusting that Tim DeKay will be able to make that considerably better in the delivery on screen, because that whole 'talking to El's picture' bit seems terribly schmaltzy to me.
Also, they really, really need to get on with the music box thing and stop stringing it out. To be honest, I'd rather see a different reason for Neal's shades of grey than him continuing to be foolish about Kate.
What if it's just another clue like a note? Then you're just chasing another clue to something else. There's nothing definitive unless the writers want it to.
When was the last time they even mentioned the Patchwork Man? I reality, that guy could have been related to another case Fowler was working on.
Not strange at all, although I don't think I'm as concerned as you, at least not at present. I think Mozzie remains most definitely anti-fed, it's just that he has come to recognize Peter's "nobility" and his kindness and protectiveness toward Neal. He has also bonded with El, who is part of Peter, and vice versa. This behavior is specifically directed toward Peter - by no means does Mozzie trust the FBI at large - Fowler being one very good reason not to.
I love the fact that they are having Moz interact with the Feds more, because it means we see more of him. They are keeping his essential conspiracy theory zaniness intact - hence the "Moon Mission - Fact or Fiction" and abandoning his "Tuesday" hideout once Feds had been in it - "J. Edgar Hoover Was Here."
Man, what the heck is with everyone complaining about the storyline? D: I would actually like to find out what the deal is with the box. They have been very good about resolving aspects of the story while keeping the ONE giant question about the music box going. (unlike Lost which left -everything- unresolved) So yeah, I am one of the people who is not tired of it!
Loved the spoilers, btw, thank you for posting them, tzikeh! I can't wait to see Tim do the scene with El's picture. :)
Honestly if the writers brought up the music box in depth every single episode I'd definitely feel like they were overdoing it. I like that they're giving Neal and Peter things to do outside of the music box storyline. As for the thing with Diana and Peter and the box, I'm just assuming, much like in season one, the do a lot of investigation off camera. That's how the writers surprised us with Peter meeting Kate.
We're not even halfway into the second season and it's not like the writers have become notorious for setting things up and not delivering. So I guess I'm baffled about why fans first reaction is to nitpick over say... Being excited there is a new episode on tomorrow and the writers like feeding fans spoilers. Not that people can't discuss the show, both good and bad, but seeing a majority of the comments on a spoiler post be gripes about storylines and writing is kinda depressing.
Two. I don't need to see them dedicating ten minutes to X,Y, and Z. That's not what I want. Peter and Diana mentioning something and stop as Neal walks in would be fine. Just to let me know they are working the situation.
The difference with last season was that the investigation into Kate was told from Neal's perspective. The bottle, photo, phone call were important to Neal whether you liked the storyline or not. The music box has no inherent interest to anyone we spend most of the episodes with.
Thre. We still haven't found out how Peter was contacting Kate which could be huge considering she was meeting with Fowler. I'm willing to wait a little longer for the explanation for why Kate was doing this and the Ring Man photo, but they really need to close those stories if they plan on introducing Sir and whatever is in the box.

What I loved most about him was that he was the anti-Fed, but they're really having him interact with them this season.
Regardless, I'm pumped!
