Von Smith sang I Need To Get By. He's very 80's. Like a one-hit-wonder artist. Still, he's the best opening act in the last three weeks.

I don't think this week matters. Last year on Idol, they were nice and didn't vote anyone off. If memory serves, they rolled over the vote totals into the next week and combined them to give the next person the boot.

I was, um, kinda, sorta, half watching and definitely not paying attention. Johns and the male Cook sounded the best. Mercado, have you learned nothing from previous seasons? We're down to the top 10. These are the people who will go on tour later this Summer. Come Fall, one or two of them will have new albums, but I probably won't buy any of them. Tonight on American Idol, the contestants were required to sing a song from the year they were born. All of this made me feel old.
