I ripped my kids a new one this afternoon. First time so far this year, I think. One kid informs me that he doesn't want to do Science, so I told the class, "Well, SoAndSo doesn't want to do Science, so I guess that means we're not going outside to draw pictures as I was planning to do." from what my mom has said, all the kids are way more forward with their teachers these days. or maybe not so much their teachers as their elders in general. meh, whatever--it's still bloody annoying and they need to be put in their place, but few people bother to try. grrrrr.

I definitely try to put the little rodents in their place whenever possible. I find that I keep filing things away in my brain for the time when I have my own kids (if that happens), things to do and not do with my kids.

if, by some weird fluke of fortune, I happen to have kids, they will NOT be sassing me like the little rodents of today. no way, buddy.

I think for me that would be the ultimate Pearls. I would make those strips poster-sized and hang them in my room.
