A week in books

I'm reading a very enjoyable historical crime novel at the moment, The Death Maze by Ariana Franklin. It's the second in a series featuring Adelia Aguilar, a graduate of the School of Medicine in Salerno, set in 12th century England. Binchy is my favorite fiction author, ever. I loved the "Bees" also and have reread it once already.

Another recent light reading love has been the "No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series by Alexander McCall Smith. It is so hard to remember that the author is a man because his women are so real as is his love of Africa. I don't much like his other series, but Mma Ramotswe is my heroine.
