Random slice of my life
This weekend was a blur. My sister visited with her family and we saw the GA Aquarium on Saturday. A toddler and a fat infant (25 lbs!) can really wear you out! I am ded, but happy they stayed with us. I voted today. Also modeled for the last session of a class that was doing a life-sized drawing of me. That was pretty cool! Psychobilly Home Repairs
Tonight I have concluded there is no better music to listen to while doing home repairs than psychobilly and rockabilly. While stuck an uncomfortable position, scraping away grout and preparing wall joints for caulk, weird and catchy music is my friend. Turbinado sugar
I knew there was another reason (besides the fact that it is great in coffee) that I keep turbinado sugar around. Its large crystals curb hiccups. :) -
Repairs Redux
A few months ago we had a handyman do some re-grouting/caulking in our master bathroom around the tub. He did an okay job, but was sloppy and didn't fully prep the tub surface for the new caulk. Rains = Pours
Today was fun. Explored part of Atlanta, saw exhibit at High Museum, and was pursued (by phone) by several art instructors/sketch group coordinators seeking model bookings. Before I'd even left the house I had three phone calls, then one more on the highway, and a couple more messages left while I was at the museum. Busy day? Yep, but all in a good ( Read more... ) -

New year and goals
Mainly for my own reference, I'm posting some as-yet sketchy goals for the next year:
Create art (draw, paint, photograph) on a regular basis, i.e., daily.
Socialize more with friends.
Reclaim my abode as a cleaner, less-cluttered space to recharge, refresh, and entertain.
