I don't think anyone has the right to ascertain ownership over scans, translations or scanlations (except for people who have an agreement with the owner, of course, like paying a mangaka to distribute an English version of their work, etc.). They're all illegal. So "claiming" projects or trying to control distribution often seems like a waste of time and adverse to the advantages scanlations can bring to the creators ( ... )

you know, sometimes, I don't understand about "appreciate" issues. Personally, I'm doing what I love and enjoy. in the process of translating yaoi, I enjoy and feel happy.

We just want to put out works to share with people who love yaoi. A download = appreciation. A "thank you" comment is a plus. If readers think the downloads aren't worth it, they wouldn't even download in the first place.

Also, mistakes bound to happen. And there isn't any big issue at all. ^^ Spelling, missing pages...learning is good~

Yes, so much of "you broke me rules, ban you", or "you never thank me, so you aren't entitle to downloads". But if I can't even access in the first place, how to give thanks? Do I get a choice, onegaishimasu. And more amusing is some actually reports another. Weird...

"Share the YAOI, Spread the LOVE!"

*go backs in my hole to do more script* XDD~~

It makes me sad when new groups poach scanlations. Existing groups are trying so hard to recruit new staff and they can't find any, especially translators. If someone is genuinely interested in scanlating, they should join an existing group and help out.
It seems such a waste to have more than one group working on the same project. A lot of these "pirate" groups have poor quality control and they lose interest pretty quickly and disappear, leaving projects unfinished.
It seems to be getting pretty common in fansubs too with some popular doramas getting 3 or more groups subbing them at once! Obviously all this is illegal and no-one has more right to scanlate or fansub than another person but a little common sense would go a long way.
