Of costume balls and heroines

I have heard that there is a costume party, with all invited- An exciting thought, though I confess I'm rather nervous. There are so very many people, after all, included on such an... extensive guest list, who might not be very - well, pleasant, to be at a party with. Ophelia could be worth a try. To make her recognizable, of course, you may want to go post-drowning-- a bit of blue at the lips and such. It would certainly be a better costume than say, "springtime" or "night," which seem to be the favorites among half the ladies of London.

*blushes slightly, automatic reaction to being addressed by - well, by anyone, really* Oh - yes, I suppose that would be - quite clever! And have flowers strewn about and... *quick laugh* And, oh, and I could stand out in the rain before going into the party, though I suppose the hostess mightn't like my costume's effect on her carpets...
