Mmm. I definitely haven't been through nearly as many as you have (that sounds so dirty) but yeah, my 'person fandoms' are pretty longterm. I've hit Jayne, Jean, Mary, and Sarah - obviously - and I'm pretty sure that if I ever allowed myself to watch TWW or DH, Allison and Felicity would be on there. I also totally see the appeal in Alberta Watson, Jodie Foster, and Meryl Streep. But yeah, five hardcore longterm obsessions (I never know what to call them!) is enough (the fifth one being JKR).

So yeah, basically it was this huge eye-opening thing and I started to heart my life and feel happy all the time because Mary is shiny.

Then the scary bandwagon losers joined in and started to ruin the sanctity of Adama/Roslin, which was just evil.

Yeah, it's pretty great most of the time, but then it's kind of nerve wracking because if it all goes to hell, I'm really screwed. That's why I'm a little terrified of meeting Jean Smart. Not that I'd give up the chance. And you know, meeting JKR was actually everything I'd hoped it would be, so that helped.
