Italian tune

Apr 15, 2010 20:20

It's a really well-known tune, with no words. It has the same beginning as the song Rafiki sings in the Lion King ("Asante sana, squash banana") but continues from there. It has a kind of Italian sound... I've recorded someone whistling it, but I can't figure out how to put it up here
Anyone know what it is?

EDIT: Found! It's Tarantela Napoletana

The first Italian song that came to mind was 'Funiculi Funicula', which sounds a bit like that "Asante sana" song. Pavarotti famously sang it.

It's not that - I know Funiculi Funicula.
The tune I'm thinking of doesn't have any words, but it's one of those instantly recognisable ones...
