Magical carriage display?

When I was a kid back in the '80s, I recall seeing an exhibit at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. From what I remember, it was a life-size, fairy tale-esque white carriage; it was decked out in crystals and other distractingly sparkly, dangling decorations. I love the Fairy Castle, and that was another favorite of mine as a kid. Although the castle has a tiny silver carriage in its garden, the exhibit I remember was a single carriage as large as, or close to, the size of a real carriage.

I remember it too. I think it was near where the collection of automobiles was. It may have been a special exhibit or on loan from another collection. I vividly remember it.

I'm so happy someone else remembers this! I was beginning to think my mind made it up. It makes sense that it would be by other vehicles.

I'd suggest calling them.

But yes! I also went there in the '80s and '90s a lot. Such an awesome place!

I thought I'd give the internet a whirl first. Google search turned up nothing, this was second option. The MSI has a contact-us page where I can type up the description; that'll give someone there time to look up past exhibits.
