hand gesture??

So my mom and I were out shopping today (we're in the U.S.) and an older lady (mid 60s) who appeared to be from India made an odd hand gesture to us as we got sorta traffic jammed in the parking lot, both of us waiting for the other to go ahead and drive on ( Read more... )

Well if I was saluting someone I would use my left hand, because it's my dominant one. Is there some rule it should be with the right? I guess so...

Was it a sort of cupped hand raised towards the head, palm inwards, like she was tapping the head? If so, it's a gesture that means 'bless you/thank you'.
