band name?

There is an ambient/electronica band whose name I cannot remember for the life of me. Their music is, if I recall, quite haunting, and may have exotic undertones. I distinctly remember the name beginning with (M), in parentheses, just like that. Can anyone please help me? :( Googling/otherwise searching for anything with a parenthesis does nothing.

Was it M People? Though I don't know if I'd describe them as haunting or ambient. What you're describing reminds me of Mouth Music, but I don't know if they ever put the first 'm' in parentheses.
