You know how people say "hearts in my eyes" as a way to express how crazy in love they are with something?

Hearts. In my eyes.

This is a beautiful emotional roller coaster ending on a delightful, warmfuzzy high.

I just...it was so lovely and wonderful and sad but sweet and I cried. I really did. By the way, if you read this while listening to Cary Brothers' album "Who You Are," you will be a puddly mess.

Oh my god, you know about Cary Brothers???? Ghost Town might be one of the most wonderful things this world has ever known.

Cary Brothers is my go-to angsty!Blaine writing music! But he's brilliant even when I'm not writing - so good, such beautiful sadness. No one does it like Cary. Rainy days, mint tea, Cary Brothers=bliss. Totally.

God, lets not talk about how long I spent on those receipts, it will make you question my sanity.

See, I'm so inured to my angst that I barely see it anymore, I was all distracted by the fluffy, fluffy end. That said, this whole thing did kind of grow out of that Breadstix receipt, so even my fluff comes from a place of angst.

I am beyond help.

i don't know why but long-distance klaine is my current fic crack and this was like the best kind of...um, crack, (yeah, not sure how to continue w/the metaphor. are there types of crack? anyway...) so beautifully written, so much emotion packed into these little snippets, and i just love the idea of kurt doing something like this- b/c it's sweet and adorable, but also realistic to see how the death of a loved one when he was so young might have permanently, uniquely changed him in this way. it's like how finn always talks about the guys in his life showing him 'how to be a man'- it's this little detail that is part of a much bigger story of losing a parent, and it gives the characters more depth and i <3 it and this fic so, so much.

Well, I imagine there are different qualities of crack, I imagine cut with different things in varying amounts...and you probably didn't really care about the crack thing, did you?

I never thought about this idea of Kurt in connection to Finn and the way losing his father changed FInn, but you're right. Thank you for that.

Oh, god, just -- yes, hello. I'm sorry, I've lost the English language. This is my favorite kind of story, told with ephemera back-and-forth, and the way you've done it is just completely jaw-dropping and wonderful. The Googling was completely worth it for what it added to the story, and the concept of Kurt's filing system just fills me with an unrivaled sense of d'aww. Seriously, really impressive, moving work. Well done.

Thank you so much. I'm glad people bothered to do the googling (I know it's kind of a weird thing to ask of people when reading a fic) and I'm glad you found it interesting and worth the trouble rather than annoying ;)
