OW. OW OW OW. I mean, the sex was super-hot, but also OW. I appreciate that you dealt with pon farr as the MASSIVELY PAINFUL EXPERIENCE it almost certainly would be, instead of fucking romanticizing it. I mean, fucking for four days? I don't think I could fuck for FOUR HOURS without crying for a time-out. Hats off, man.

And ow as well to the idea of poor Spock thinking he could never even ask that of Jamie, and Jamie not knowing why Spock abandoned her. That was totally hot and awesome! I'm so glad they worked things out. I still want to see Jaime's face though, when she finds out she's pregnant, because I don't think she's expecting that Spock's prediction will come true this soon...

Also, I loved the Uhura POV in the main story. You really sold the Uhura/Scotty too.

The idea that Spock would equate pon Farr to rape once he heard about Jamie's background and not want to put her through that is really interesting and well done! I had a big "ohhhhh I get it now" moment while reading. And certainly in character that he'd never explain himself and let everyone think he's a jerk. The rest of this fic was lovely, too... wonderful little details and realism!
