OK - I'm hooked, and going to make this for supper today. Couple of questions - do you add any of the pineapple or orange juice? The only liquid I see is the lemon juice.
Also - do you put the chicken in first, then the fruit, then sprinkle other stuff on top? Hope you can answer this today (if not, I'll wing it).
i mixed everything up in the pot...and no, DRAIN both the fruit cans. all the fruit breaks down and provides plenty of juice. That's why I was thinking next time I try this, I'll reserve a few of the mandarines to throw in at the end so there are some recognizeable mandarines.
I made this and it is sooooooooo good! My family ate it and then wanted to know when I was going to make it again! I added a little bit of the pineapple juice because my crockpot seems to dry food out a little more than others (it's a huge one, by Rival) and I added the oranges at the last minute, like you suggested. Next time I will try a red pepper.

I took a recipe that came with my crockpot and added some ingredients. I'm living DANGEROUSLY! ;)
