What are tomatillos?

they are applelike tangy, tomato-y green fruit with a husk, used in mexican food. You can find them at many grocery stoes.

not spicy, as in hot-- just very tangy and flavorful-- sour apple is how I would describe the taste, but with a different texture than apple.
