Hrmm, I think it depends. It's about the tube really, a good piercer will probably know how to avoid it if at all possible.

That said, I don't think a nipple piercing is an immediate no-nursing sentence - but I know you have to take them out upon getting pregnant, and in some cases if you don't allow the piercing to heal right, scar tissue can form that would mess up the milk flow.

(don't ask me how I know so much about this - I'm needlephobic...)
