THREE STREETSwestport_modsMarch 7 2011, 04:56:24 UTC
[Should you make it past the barricades and empty cars blocking these streets from the peaceful streets in the center, the houses on the street are boarded-up and fortified; within are crates labeled RATIONS and SUPPLIES. All of the crates are empty.
The street in the center is devoid of houses; it appears to have been completely leveled and paved over with concrete. The concrete is already appearing worn and cracked.
The homes on the last street are empty of furniture on the inside. The floors of one of these houses is carpeted with dead spiders.]
[Edward takes in the post-apocalyptic scenery, partly in curiosity and wonder, partly in abject horror. He'd only heard stories about what Westport had put everyone through---was this supposed to be yet another Westport scenario? He prods at one of the crates of rations with his cane, watching as it topples off its perch. Nothing inside. He furrows his brow.
Zillions of questions are racing through his mind right now, but perhaps the most prevalent are these: How the hell did this happen and how was he supposed to get out of there?]
[Not too far away, Edward should notice a familiar figure in a white lab coat picking herself up off the ground, dusting herself off and grumbling angrily. Moving statues chasing her down is not a pleasant re-introduction to the town after having been droned for over a month.
Her anger fades when she takes a look at her surroundings. This... it can't be. She arrived (for the second time) right in the midst of the Westport fiasco and she's heard enough second-hand accounts to recognize it almost immediately. The only thing that's missing is the sense of doom that everyone describes the town as having. This place is quiet. She's not sure if that's a good thing.
Turning, she catches sight of Edward and freezes. Of course, why wouldn't she run into the last person she wants to see first thing? Anything else would be life going marginally well, and certainly she can't have that. However, eye contact has been made, so she approaches him. Carefully.]
[Of course Edward's well-aware that he's probably the last person Ema would ever expect to see. Then again, he never quite expected to see her back here, either. After their unfortunate little fiasco over a month ago (and his even more unfortunate attempt at an apology), she had been droned. Perhaps the final straw in all this madness. He had thought she was sent home, ironically enough. But now she was here---again, in Mayfield. If this place was still Mayfield, that is.
He likewise takes a cautious step towards her, not breaking eye contact. His reaction to her sudden appearance isn't volatile so much as it is just stunned. Still, he attempts to keep himself composed, his eyes narrowing as he fixes her with a steady look.]
[The Elementary School and High School are completely boarded up.
Inside, all furniture, floors, wall decorations, and electrical fixtures have been removed, leaving the buildings an empty shell.
The gym of the high school is also boarded up and reinforced even more than the entrances to the schools themselves. However, the interior is also empty, aside from the smell of mold and rotting food coming from somewhere within. Carved into the wall are notches numbering to 57.]
[Wow that abject terror turned hatred had been fun, but a clown girl can never stay angry for too long. Which is why Harley is going to go explore that school place she'd seen last time. That and the fact that the air is breathable and no men in suits are trying to kill her.
[After a few days of being trapped, a blue box appears in the center of the city. A few minutes after it lands, a voice sounds from the box, loud enough to be heard throughout the town. Some might recognize it as the voice of the Doctor]
All right, you lot, listen up! I need you all to gather in the center of town so I can load you in and bring you all back home.
...Well, not home, just.. Mayfield, but really now, it seems much better than this old dump.
So find your way there and hop into the blue box, but don't. touch. anything. I'll be waiting until everyone gets in.
((ooc; this comment marks the ending of the plot, everyone will be brought back to Mayfield via the TARDIS. However, feel free to continue tagging around here as much as you like!))

Aaron is in the bottom of an empty pool. No crutches, still in a cast.
Hopping and shuffling to the edge and getting out is going to be hard. Trying to call for help first.]]
Hello!... Is anyone here?
[[Where is he? What is this?]]

Aaron? Is that you?

I don't know what's going on but I think I'm stuck. Do you see crutches up there?
[[He lost them back in Mayfield, so not likely.]]
