folks who rely on peer review only, to the exclusion of other information, are uneducated --

They seriously misunderstand what "peer review" means.   12 morons in a room are "peers" -- it doesn't mean they're competent.

I was reading about that last week. *Really* bad for Elsevier, as they publish a lot of healthcare textbooks - my main textbook for the past two years was one of them. Scarystupid.

they are paid $$ to include certain info, and exclude other stuff.
