oops:

"Like SARS and bird flu before it, this swine flu scare is a lot of nonsense."

---Dr. Blaylock, M.D, U.S. Army, and board-certified neurosurgeon

The latest scary-must-vaccinate social control phase?  I don't give the slightest damn.   :)

I have been atop the highest mountaintop screaming this to all of my horribly panicked friends. I give up. I think some people are legitimately concerned and want to know what it is and what to do about it. There are other people who just want to feel scared and no dose of reality is going to help them. Gets the blood moving. LOL

then again, I take 5,000 i.u. of high-vitamin cod liver oil daily, have for over a year -- only drink raw, unpasteurized milk from healthy cows (i get it in Easton), haven't had a flu shot in years (so's there's less mercury in my system) and maisey damn well has never had a shot, i avoid sugar/refined flour.

Since this whole thing started I've taken 2 tsp of Acerola Cherry powder daily as well (natural C, not Ascorbic Acid).

Most americans are nutritionally compromised, and that reflects in their "seasonal" flu rate.

Then you're probably juuuust fine. Most people would do well to be more healthy. Even if they don't go the way of supplements, simply a better diet would work wonders. You know, eating, gasp, vegetables (of which french fries are not a representative member of the group).

We do have to take flu shots here. Maddie was born at 24 weeks gestation. She will always be highly susceptible to airborne disease because of the state of her lungs for the first months of her life. The flu, no matter how healthy she is, could kill her quite quickly. Greg works in geriatric care. If he gets the flu he can spread it accidentally to 350 elderly residents and possibly kill a great deal of them. For us the benefits far, far outweigh the risks.

see, i think injecting toxin *causes* disease, rather than preventing it, but -- i know that most folks don't.

A friend of mine whose husband works for the CDC is trying to tell people to calm down. It is so overblown by the media. Yes there are outbreaks but it is not *OMG we can't ride the bus*.
