Khemrys had, in days of prowling, managed to find a room that seemed to be a laundry. Therein had been what she hoped were abandoned and discarded clothes, as she rather shrank from the thought of theft. But, regardless, she was properly clad once more in thick skirts and a laced overtunic.
And an apron. She was grateful for that, since it seemed no one else was about baking proper bread (the strange loaf of spongy slices she'd found did not qualify!) and her skirts would show flour rather well.
And the apron was also a handy rain cape it seemed. She came dashing in from the kitchens in hopes of finding someone to explain...her eyes were drawn to the ball of fur and hair on the couch though. Perhaps it was a large cat? Or mayhap a small hound...
"Mayhap you're as confused as I little one?" she laughed to herself.
She wasn't as startled to see the lovely eyes as she was to see human face! It was as if someone had gotten...stuck...while shifting betwixt and between! She didn't know if that was possible, but she had certainly seen many a strange thing in her time through the wastes so...she steeled her nerve and dropped the apron she'd been holding over head. The creamy cloth was now stained and swirled with color as well. "Nor was I, little one, nor was I. I am afraid the bread will be quite...colorful now."
The question is considered seriously; an internal stock-taking happens before she answers.
"I don't think I am going to catch cold from this. I have eaten well enough. I do not think I have any diseases. I do not know if the colored rain will do anything else to me later." Conclusion: probably well!
Strange place, strange people. And even stranger creatures.
Corey can’t make heads or tails of it, so he stays still, silent in the shadows, peeking through whatever shelter affords him. He now thinks he knows what that girl from the Labyrinth must have been feeling.

Gold eyes peer up at her seriously, taking every detail in. Threat? Not a threat?
"I was not expecting rain inside. I was not expecting rain that had a color."
In conclusion, yes. Yes, she is very confused.

He is now getting stared at.

He doesn't move now, doesn't even breathe.
Just hopes he's not next on the menu.

She doesn't look too hungry, though.
She just settles herself into a more comfortable position, never taking her eyes off him.
