He still doesn't have a clue WTF, mind. He's been wandering around and... has anyone else noticed the lightbulb glow in this room appears half a foot over the actual lightbulb? That's wierd. Brian is poking it with a pencil.

That is weird. What the hell? Maybe its not running on electricity? Or it's a different kind of light bulb? Or this is all in Ryan's head and doesn't have to make sense?

Anyway, you've got another guy watching the proceedings curiously.

Sideways glance of total neutrality. Although. Um. Wow.

Wow.

"-tell why it stays there." Feeling it by holding a hand near. "It's warm in the right place..."

Neutral is as neutral does. Ryan is just interested in the light.

Though he supposes he should say hello as well.

"What happens if you touch the light?"

"It's hot and weird enough that I'm not just poking it." Brian grins at him. "...you too, hunh?"

(He clearly thinks this is kind of amazing.)

A passing Chris asks, "Are you alright?"

Okay, you either sleep on something wierd, or you bathe in it. Or maybe that much green has a scent. Or Brian's hallucinating, he's good with all those, really. A good investigator keeps an open mind.

"M'cool. Why?" He's cool! So's the light. In a different way.

"You're poking the light." Chris says simply.

"Yeah, but it's not on the light."

"I don't think it's going to move if you keep poking it."

"It'd be cool if it did." It's cool anyway, though. It's a... relocated light.

"Uh-huh."

The small-ish boy with bad posture does not look impressed.

Okay. Brian? Is omnicheerful. So he's kind of grinning again as he goes back to studying how the glow is up here and the lamp is down there. "What were you expecting?"

"What does it feel like?"

It is too high for a little sphinx to reach!

...a little sphinx is the cutest most confusing thing Brian has ever seen in his life. At least the light could just be an illusion. Fuzzy winged sphinxes... no.

"Hello," he says, in a kind of reflex at someone talking to him, and then blinks. "Uh... it's like it's not there." He pulls the pencil back and feels it. "The pencil's a little hot, though."

"Hello," she answers. "I have not seen a light that does that before. I have not seen you before."

That's two new things at once! AMAZING!

"I haven't seen you before either. And yeah, the light's a new one."

"Is...is it broken?" a soft voice asked from just behind his elbow. Obviously the light had escaped? She was, naturally, assuming that it was only lightbulb shaped. "Would you l-like something to stand on?"

"I don't know. I think it's supposed to do that here," says a clueless Brian. "I'm not gonna stop it."

"Then m-maybe you should stop p-poking it?" Hinata offered. Really, if he didn't want to disturb it...

"I'm just trying to figure it out. I mean... this usually does not happen."
