PRAS - Off to a Good Start

I just caught the first episode of Project Runway All Stars. My only complaint is that it could have easily run twice as long. I even agreed with the judges' comments and decisions. Fingers crossed that the entire season is as good as this episode.

I am not a watcher, but from the photo you posted, I take it the all-stars are a group that distinguished themselves in seasons past, but did not win?

Correct. There have been nine seasons and all but one of the initial thirteen all stars were top five contestants and a large number were in the top three of their season. The level of skill they have collectively is damn impressive.

Thanks for posting this. I forgot it was on and this let me catch the replay on right now. (The fuse on my gay gene almost blew entirely though when they started weeping over Valentino reading poorly off cue cards...)

It was nice to see everyone again, but curious to know what your thoughts are on the editing style they used for the runway walks and the lack of zing from the hostess.

The camera work was horrendous (surf to tomandlorenzo.com if you want to see stills of the clothes.) I didn't mind the hostess, but She. Seemed. To. Be. Reading. Cuecards?

I understand that it was a conscious decision to not use any of the regular season personalities and it is an official production. And frankly it was refreshing to see the new and (IMHO) better judges. Although I'm worried that Isaac could quickly turn into a clone of the buffoonish Michael Kors She looks like a disco Mother of the Bride in a bordello!
