Having grown up in Southern Oregon where it's a rare thing to have snow that actually sticks, I have to say that while I wouldn't throw rocks at anyone who chooses to live somewhere that gets significant snow every winter, I'd never live in a place that did.

One needn't shovel rain ... or like today here in SoCal... sunshine. *grin*

I think it's fiction. She's lived in Massachusetts her entire 57 years, the last 25 in the same house and there's no lake that I know of nearby.

I still got a chuckle out of all of it.
