Thursdays I get to sleep in. Not lots - I still have to be at work by 8.30. But I don’t have to be there any earlier, because my first class isn’t until 11, so there’s never any planning that I have to finish before the kids show up, or any urgent photocopying. I often sleep all the way until 7 - practically indecent, isn’t it?

If they're still interested in calculators you could also teach them about 2's complement format for storing negative numbers and how fractional numbers work in base 2. It's also interesting to point out that some decimal numbers like 0.3 are impossible to represent exactly in binary floating point numbers which is why software for working with currency always uses a fixed point representation (basically you represent it as a whole number which has an implicit division by a power of 10).
