Harriet Jones <3 During CoE, I kept wondering, how did this play out in Britain's Golden Age... :D (I am predictable that way.)

I would totally watch those. Yeah, even number five. :D If it wasn't too sit-com like. I have issues with sitcoms. I'd need ocasional drama and minimal awkwardness. Which would probably be unlikely, given the actor and concept. So, probably I would opt out of that myself... But it's still an awesome idea! (Especially if he bought some new suits. I don't know why I always found that blue one so downright disturbing...)

Harriet Jones went up to the one in the case and bitchslapped it out of its drug addiction and made it feel like a right worthless sack of pea soup.

Alternatively, one might say that, if she was still PM, Torchwood One wouldn't have gotten so very out of hand. So, no ghost shifts, and Rose would still be with the Doctor. Harriet or Jackie would call Rose and get the Doctor to come and threaten the aliens, which may or may not have ended in the use of the fatal soundwave (sent through the TARDIS, of course, not a kid).

:-p Silly but nice to think about, isn't it?

Great ideas.

And yes, Harriet Jones was fantastic!

In a way, the whole CoE debacle was really the Doctor's fault for deposing her. Had she still been in office, she and Torchwood together could have kicked the 456's asses (if any).

Heck, even Harold Saxon could have dealt with the 456 way better than the CoE Prime Minister (though I didn't really agree with the rest of his politics)...
