They didn't get the uptake they hoped for because the people didn't want to be indoctrinated by evil people in a floating tub they couldn't escape from ( Read more... )

Yay, I'm happy for you. :)

Work is good. I feel good going to work and doing a good job. I must admit that I find there's a huge difference doing the job I love rather than just any clerical one, but either way it feels good to have work. So yeah, I definitely agree with it being more the dignity of labor. (The converse of this situation is the hordes on long-term welfare who do not have that dignity. I believe it definitely degrades people to be without productive work for long periods of time.)

Yeah. Mind you, the fanfiction gave me an advantage over those who get all miserable and lose hope: it kept up my typing speed and gave me experience in using websites and whatnot. Making icons gave me experience in photoshop (I use GIMP, but it's similar), which is useful when putting a presentation together.

Having income is good, though. Hopefully, I'll get a better job than this later on, but for now, I need something that gives me a decent reference and an opportunity to prove myself. The boss likes me, which is good. :D

Thanks for the supportive comment.
